"Ana María's work arises from the encounter with horsehair pipe cleaners in a local market place. She, who has been interested in organic and difficult-to-handle materials, begins to work with them and realizes that the bristles never lose their shape or their memory. The final result of the sculpture is the natural volume that is derived from them and, despite the impossibility of shaping it at her will, it can be transformed into another object."
